New hotels are springing up just in time for the summer of 2014!
The Brice, A Kimpton Hotel, and The Cotton Sail Hotel are the newest to the line of hotels in Downtown Savannah. Both are located conveniently in the Historic District, right off of Bay Street and take their own little spin on a typical hotel – they are both boutique hotels. They serve up their own side of the city and welcome guests into a more comfortable, intimate setting. The worries and stresses of big hotel chains aren’t anywhere near these luxury suites and the buildings that house them – it’s a place for friends and community, a place to learn about and enjoy the city.
“You could meet fellow travelers, family members. The experience was that of community, share a story, tell a story, it was really making it family,” said Kate Brown, the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Brice, a Kimpton Hotel.
Boutique hotels don’t just welcome visitors and give them a suite, they offer up guest rooms inside their homes in the city.
The Brice, A Kimpton Hotel takes Savannah’s southern charm with a twist. This eclectic boutique hotel ties the knot between tradition and modern with a style all of its own, using whimsical and high touch design elements reminiscent of its rich history. On East Bay Street, right between Washington Square and Emmet Park, The Brice shows guests what it is like to be a part of the community welcoming guests into their home with 145 guest rooms, 26 of which are lavish suites.
The Cotton Sail Hotel is located right in the heart of the city, just off of Bay and River streets. It offers all the features and amenities of a high-end hotel but keeps Savannah’s sweet charm in its 56 rooms. Guests can choose a suite with a view of the Savannah River or of the city and peek out to see all the fun going on down the street at Ellis Square.
