Savannah’s fare-free Downtown Transportation system, DOT, gets you where you want to go, when you need to get there, in and around Savannah’s beautiful Historic District. They not only offer an Express Shuttle to help people get around downtown, but also the Historic River Street Streetcar and Savannah Belles Ferry that takes guests across the river to Hutchinson Island, where the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center is located.

The DOT is a service of Savannah Mobility Management System – an interlinked system designed to enhance the Savannah Experience while reducing traffic and parking congestion.

Express Shuttle

Monday-Saturday: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m

The 30-passenger Express Shuttles serve 12 stops around the Historic District, connecting to municipal parking facilities, Visitor Centers, the Streetcar and Savannah Belles Ferry. There is a 20-minute or less wait between the shuttles, which are fully ADA-accessible.

Savannah Belles Ferry

Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-midnight

To get a better view of Savannah’s riverfront, guests can hop aboard the Savannah Belles Ferry, a free ferry that connects Downtown Savannah with Hutchinson Island and the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. Named for Savannah’s “Belles,” strong women who shaped the city’s history, these modern passenger-only ferries are reminiscent of vessels seen in the harbor a century ago.
