Savannah really comes alive in the fall!
Here are some fun fall festivals and events in and around Savannah, along with what to expect.
Oktoberfest
October 3-4 and October 10-11: Savannah Oktoberfest is a festival that takes place on the riverfront, turning the Plant Riverside District into a Bavarian-style beer garden every autumn. The 2026 event will happen from October 3 to October 11, and most activities will be on two weekends. These events take place along the Riverwalk and MLK Park, which are part of the West River Street waterfront in Savannah.
- The main highlights of the 2026 festival include free games and activities throughout the event, with a special event called the Wiener Dog Races happening on Saturday, October 10 at 11 a.m.
at MLK Park. Other fun games and competitions, like Pretzel Fishing, Strudel Stroll, Keg Bowling, and Stein Holding, will be available over the two weekends on the Riverwalk. - The main event is the Wiener Dog Races at MLK Park on Saturday, October 10 at 11 a.m. It’s a family favorite that draws a big crowd, so arriving early is a good idea to get a good view. Because the timing of the games can change each day slightly, you can check the daily schedule on-site or call ahead if you’re planning around a specific activity.
- The festival itself is free to attend, with games and general activities on the Riverwalk being free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, with options like bratwurst, pretzels, and strudel, along with seasonal beer.You can bring cash or a card for food, and there’s no cover charge for walking around or watching the games.
- The Plant Riverside District has a big parking garage on site, and it gets filled up quickly on festival weekends compared to regular evenings — arrive earlier than usual for a normal River Street visit, especially if you’re near the 11 a.m.

Tybee Island Pirate Festival

SAVANNAH GREEK FESTIVAL
October 8 – 10, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.: One of Savannah’s most loved annual events. With 75 years of tradition and plenty of happy memories, this event is a favorite every year. This year‘s festival will have homemade Greek foods, Greek desserts, Greek dancing, Greek music, church tours, a marketplace, and more during the three-day celebration of Greek food, music, and heritage. The event is hosted by St Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church at the Hellenic Center at 14 West Anderson Street and draws thousands of visitors each year. Visitors get to enjoy the delicious and rich Greek culture through food and treats. Admission is free for all three days of the festival this year! BLUES, BREWS, BBQ, & BOURBON
October 10, noon-4 p.m.: Be sure to be at the Park at Eastern Wharf for the Blues, Brews BBQ & Bourbon Festival. Check out their festival-style tent with plenty of beverage vendors to try. Each one offers unlimited samples of their drinks, like craft beer, whiskey, and maybe a few other types of alcohol. Live music will be played by three local bands on a stage right in the middle of the event. For food, they’ve brought in several top Texas-style BBQ chefs from different nearby states just for this event. Fall Harvest Picnic
October 11, 3-5:30 p.m.: Gather together over a good ole fashioned BBQ lunch and celebrate the Savannah Community at our 2026 Fall Harvest Picnic at Daffin Park, located at Victory Dr. and Waters Ave. in Savannah. Formerly known as the Farm Picnic, the Fall Harvest Picnic previously took place at the Old Dairy Farm on Savannah’s eastside. Forsyth Farmers’ Market will host this family-friendly fall celebration at Daffin Park for the first time. All proceeds from this fall-themed celebration of food and community will support Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s year-round community outreach programs. Attendees are invited to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy locally sourced hamburgers, hot dogs, sides, desserts and more under the picturesque live oak canopy at the center at Daffin Park. Hull Park Fall Festival
Saturday, October 17, 1-4 p.m.: Ardsley Park’s Hull Park Pavilion and Playground hosts the favorite neighborhood tradition, the annual Fall Festival! This year’s event has a new twist with a scarecrow theme and scarecrow showcase! Local businesses and neighborhood families are invited to sponsor and decorate a scarecrow display. Each scarecrow area can be decorated with your own creative theme, fall flair, business personality, or family style. Festival guests will have the chance to enjoy all the displays, and prizes will be awarded for standout scarecrows! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fall fun featuring:

Wag-O-Ween
October 24 & 25, noon-5 p.m.: Ready for the most ‘a-dog-able’ weekend of the year? Davenport House Museum Fall Arts Festival
November 7, 10 a.m.: The Davenport House Museum is excited to host our yearly Fall Arts Festival, which celebrates in Savannah. This free, family-friendly festival will gather artists, craftspeople, musicians, and local residents across the Historic Savannah Foundation’s
Highlights of the festival will include a market where artists and craftspeople showcase their work, >fun art projects led by local creators, and a group art activity where people of all ages help make a shared piece of art. There will also be performers, tasty food, and a chance to relax in the picnic area within the museum.
During the festival, the Davenport House Museum will be open for visitors to explore, with special interactive activities that link the house‘s history to the city‘s active arts scene.

Fall Harvest Festival on Oatland Island
November 14, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Join us in celebrating Georgia’s diverse agricultural traditions during this annual fundraising event. Centered around our 1800’s Heritage Homesite, history comes alive at this old-fashioned fall gathering. The sights, sounds and aromas will tug at your senses as you enjoy music, games, crafts, traditional demonstrations, live animal encounters and more! We will be grinding sugar cane and making cane syrup and preparing hearth-cooked recipes to sample! The whole family will enjoy this unique Southern fall celebration! So, y’all come on over!
