When the Crystal Beer Parlor (CBP) originally opened in 1933, hamburgers cost 30 cents and draft beer was just 10 cents a glass.
“Times sure have changed,” says owner John Nichols, “but our commitment to good, quality food at a fair price and efficient, friendly service are right in keeping with the Crystal’s longstanding tradition of excellence.”
Today, the Crystal Beer Parlor features lunch and dinner options, craft and artisan beers and classic cocktails. The restaurant still serves beloved recipes like a creamy Crab Stew and Fried Oyster Sandwiches. CBP is known for its juicy hamburgers, homemade cornbread and handmade onion rings. But many new favorites have been added to the menu as well.
Here are some more favorites:
- Shrimp and Grits
- Giant Pretzel with Smoked Gouda Cheese Sauce
- Greek Wings served with homemade Tzatziki sauce
- Gawgia Cracka Nachos
- Brown Ale Burger
- Bison Burger
- Shrimp Salad Sandwich
- Classic Club Sandwich
- The best Peach Cobbler in Georgia
- Vegetarian items, all cooked fresh to order, as well as daily specials.
