If you happened to be strolling through City Market recently, you may have noticed there’s a brand new gallery in town.
Witness Sgt. Flint the Corgi modeling the merchandise. Or find that the vividly blue chameleon perched on the sign. This is Savannah Jewelry Gallery, which “came to be out of a need to build relationships on the jewelry side of Savannah’s artist community,” says owner Spencer Kohl. “I wanted to bring local designers together into an in-house jeweler’s studio, to serve as a platform for interaction between artists and clients, so that everyone can experience the joy of handmade artisan jewelry.
Because Savannah Jewelry Gallery has a team of master goldsmiths working just up the stairs, the possibilities within are endless.
Jewelers can swiftly execute tricky repairs, create custom designs using both traditional techniques and the latest technology or do same-day resizing of rings so that any piece in the collection can be made to fit any client. “We also provide a diverse range of silver and gold jewelry in a wide variety of styles,” Kohl adds, “from local talent to custom engagement sets.”
Despite Savannah Jewelry Gallery’s new arrival on the scene, it’s already stacking up rave reviews.
Customers characterize the staff as friendly, knowledgeable,
helpful and welcoming, and gush about their ability to create meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces for competitive prices.
So, whether you’re picking through the gallery’s rough and loose gemstone displays, checking out unique pieces made right in the shop or browsing their selection of vintage and estate pieces, you can be sure that the work showcased within can’t be found anywhere else. “We really are a one-stop shop for all your jewelry needs,” says Kohl.
