The Savannah Antiques and Architecture Weekend promotes interest in historic preservation and our nation’s history through informative and enjoyable educational events.

Among others statewide, NSCDA-GA owns and operates two important historic properties in Savannah. Located on beautiful Lafayette Square are its state headquarters at 319 Abercorn Street and nearby, the impressive Andrew Low House Museum, which can proudly boast the highest visitation of all NSCDA historic sites nationwide.
Interestingly, NSCDA-GA’s first president was Mrs. W.W.(Nellie) Gordon, mother of Juliette Gordon Low. Through her marriage to William Low, Juliette came into possession of the Andrew Low House where she founded The Girl Scouts of America in 1912 and lived until her death in 1927.
Proceeds from the event benefit the historic Andrew Low and Green-Meldrim Houses, both designed by noted architect John Norris.
