Gals, make your way over to the Tybee Post Theatre for Elia Kazan’s steamy 1951 film classic, “A Streetcar Named Desire” on Feb. 23, 2017, at 7 p.m.
It’s is the story of Blanche DuBois, a fragile and neurotic woman on a desperate prowl for someplace in the world to call her own. She moves in with her sister, Stella and her husband, Stanley, in New Orleans and you can only imagine what happens next in the volatile Kowalski household. It’s the Tennessee William’s classic that launched on Broadway and is now considered one of the best films ever made from a stage play. And it’s Marlon Brando in the role that made him a movie star. “Stella! Hey, Stella!”
