The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation and Historic Savannah Foundation today announced that the Fall Ramble, scheduled for October 7-9 in Savannah, will be postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.
The Georgia Trust will head downriver to discover Savannah’s early streetcar suburbs, its beloved downtown, and the Lowcountry of the Moon River District on October 7-9, 2016.
Mark your calendars to tour some of Savannah’s best preservation projects, new and old. Tours will include private homes, recently rehabilitated commercial projects, and behind-the-scenes access to projects in progress. Guests will enjoy a menu indicative of the Lowcountry, to be enjoyed amidst the backdrop of the Georgia State Railroad Museum, Lebanon Plantation and Bethesda Academy. A special Heritage Reception for upper-level Georgia Trust members will be held at the Harper-Fowles House afterwards.
