After many years, Tybee’s annual signature evening of live music and dancing has come to an end. The final Tybee Prom is set for Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 7-11 p.m. at the Tybee American Legion, Post #154 (10 Veterans Dr., Tybee Island).
The theme is “Swan Song”—attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite black, silver and/or white attire and accessories – think feathers, formal ties, earrings, tiaras, corsages, etc. Of course, red and gold always add bling to the Tybee Prom soiree! However, it’s Tybee; so get your fashion-forward prom attire from any decade (or “Tybee-formal”) and dance the night away with the harmonic sounds of Girlfriends, and your favorite tunes by DJ Barri Marshall. The 2018 Queen and King will be announced at 10:30 p.m. via raffle drawing and will be crowned by last year’s Tybee Queen and King, along with all previous royalty present on the stage! Professional photographers and paparazzi will be capturing the magical moments!
There will be a gift for the most original or “Tybee-time” ensemble!
This year’s proceeds benefit the 501(c) 3 nonprofit, Islands Feral Cat Project. Tickets are $30 and will be available at Seaside Sisters, located at 1207 U.S. Hwy. 80 on Tybee Island or call (912) 695-0724. For more information visit www.tybeeprom.com.
