The Savannah Jaycees are announcing a community picnic called, “Surging Forward.” The cost is free to attendees and aimed at coming together after Hurricane Matthew. It will be this Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 from noon to 4 p.m. at The Hut.
The Savannah Jaycees are inviting our community members, especially our Fire Fighters & First Responders, to come to a free hot dog/burger meal Sunday afternoon. The hotdogs & hamburgers will be provided by New York Life, with beverages provided by Will Gruver and Hope Dooley. The Savannah Jaycees will have cornhole, ladder ball, and other fun games.
“We are inviting everyone to take a break from all the yard cleanup and tree removals to eat a simple meal together,” said Cynthia Wright, Savannah Jaycees vice president of Communications.
