On Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, Congregation Mickve Israel presents Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival in Monterey Square, one of Savannah’s largest and most charming public areas. The festival draws about 10,000 attendees annually, allowing participants of all ages to enjoy a taste of ethnic Jewish cuisine along with family entertainment.
There is no admission charge for the festival, but once you have smelled the aroma of all the wonderful cuisine, you will definitely want to purchase tickets for food. Food Tickets are only $1 each and there are two ticket booths on the festival grounds. Cost of food varies from $1-$10 per item. In addition to the foods that can be purchased with tickets, there will also be foods and other items available for sale by cash or credit card at the Sisterhood Baubles Booth and our Gift Shop booth. Tickets are available in advance for a discount as well as onsite at the festival.
There will be all kinds of delicious Jewish delicacies at the Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival, including corned beef, pastrami and tongue deli sandwiches, potato latkes, homemade blintzes, homemade challah, hummus and pita, kosher hot dogs, noodle kugel, sizzling sephardic lamb, stuffed cabbage, sodas and sweets from their sisterhood.
