SCAD exhibitions present “Landfall,” the 2015 summer sales exhibition featuring artwork by SCAD students, alumni, faculty and staff. Entries for this annual juried-exhibition were culled from varied interpretations of the landscape genre. By definition, “landfall” suggests a first encounter or arrival, and many of the artists responded to this notion. Works in this exhibition celebrate the majesty of local and international landscapes, broadly engaging environmental issues, mapping, cityscapes and the natural world. Several different disciplines are represented in the show, including painting, photography, printmaking, furniture design, fibers, drawing and sculpture.
The reception is free and open to the public and the exhibition will be at the Gutstein Gallery until September 5. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information about the exhibition or for sales inquiries, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call SCAD at (912) 525-4735.
