Get your Greek on at Savannah’s 66th Annual Greek Festival, October 6-8, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hellenic Center, 14 W. Anderson St. A Savannah tradition since 1950, the Annual Greek Festival will feature homemade Greek food, desserts, drinks, dancing and live music, along with a marketplace and church tours.
Live Greek music will be provided all day, every day, by “Orkistra Mikrasiatiki” along with dancing and performances by various dance troupes. But one of the main draws is the homemade foods—from Greek meatballs, gyros, Greek salads and spanakopita to mouthwatering pastries, such as diples, kourabiedes and baklava, there is something to tempt, and please, every palate.
This annual celebration of Greek food, music and heritage will be held Thursday-Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with online pre-ordered lunch pick-ups available Tuesday and Wednesday (Oct. 4-5). Admission is free until 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with a requested $2 donation after 4 p.m. There is also a requested $2 donation all day Saturday. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Starting Monday, October 3, advance orders may be placed online for pick-up. For more information or to make place advance orders online, go to savannahgreekfest.com or call St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church at (912) 236-8256.
