If you’re looking for a picturesque promising proposal, Savannah is your go-to-town. Its Southern charm and antebellum romance that lingers on every square-foot of this historic city. Whether you’re proposing in a fragrant garden or rendezvousing on the rooftops, there is a place for every potential bride and groom to beg the question, “Will you marry me?”

1. Park Proposition
Whether it’s the fountain or the fragrant garden, there’s a place to pop the question at every corner of Savannah’s Forsyth Park. Midday by the fountain you can drop down on one knee and ask your partner for a lifetime. Or if you fancy a fragrant proposal, you can serenade them in the sweet scents of the flower garden before you ask for their hand in marriage.

2. Marquee Marriage
Stand out by making your proposal a grand and public display of affection. Fool your future fiancé into thinking you’re going to see a performance when the real show will be going on outside. Choose between the Trustees, Lucas or Savannah Theatre Marquees, all located in the downtown area, and plaster your proposal across the entrance for all to see.

3. Rooftop Rendezvous
Sip and see the sights at Top Deck or Rocks on the Roof, both located downtown by the Savannah River. In between popping bottles you can pop the question with a glass of champagne. Bask in the bubbly, the sensuous sunset and the romance of the river as you propose a lifetime of love and laughter to your lover.

4. Sign it in the Sand
If you and your significant other’s favorite spot is right by the sea, then say it in the sand. Write them a love poem by the pier and serenade them at sunset. Bring a blanket or two and bubbly to celebrate at the beach. If you love a little adventure then kayak out to Little Tybee for a more private proposal.

5. Botanical Bride
If your future bride or groom is a botany lover then bring them to the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens for a blooming proposal. Let the flowers and forest be your witness as you ask for their hand in marriage. Settle for spring time when the gardens are in full bloom, bring a picnic and propose to your bride-to-be over prosciutto and brie.

6. Wormsloe Wedding
Propose with pride at one of the most picturesque spots in Savannah. Enjoy a stroll down around the historic sites and bask in the languid, leaning trees. As you get to the end of the walk, wait for the perfect moment to pop down and propose to your significant other. Have a photographer ready and waiting to capture this quintessential moment.

7. Carriage Questionaire
Ride around the city via horse and carriage and enjoy the historical love story your guide tells you. When your guide gives you the cue, court your significant other into one of the many historic squares. When you return your guide will be waiting with roses and a hand-painted plaque in the carriage for the perfect proposal.

8. Ferry Fiancee
If your significant other is immune to sea sickness then bring them onto a boat! Ride the ferry to or from Savannah across to Hutchinson Island or jump on a Riverboat Cruise. Sneak out to the deck and declare your lifetime love looking back on the river and into their eyes. Or if motion sickness makes for a messy matrimony then embark onto dry land either at the Waving Girl statue or the Westin for a stable proposal.

9. Say it in the Sky
How's about a helicopter proposal? Say it high in the sky during a helicopter tour of the town. Just when you think they're not looking pull out the ring and remind them how much you love them, with the sun and sky right above them. Over the river or right above the scenic sights, you can say it to them with flair, hundreds of feet in the air.
