Traveling Around Savannah

Savannah’s fare-free Downtown Transportation system, DOT, gets you where you want to go, when you need to get there, in and around Savannah’s beautiful Historic District. They not only offer an Express Shuttle to help people get around downtown, but also the Historic River Street Streetcar and Savannah Belles Ferry that takes guests across the river to Hutchinson Island, where the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center is located.

The DOT is a service of Savannah Mobility Management System – an interlinked system designed to enhance the Savannah Experience while reducing traffic and parking congestion.

There is no service available on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years. For more information, call (912) 447-4026 or go to

Express Shuttle

Monday-Saturday: 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m

The 30-passenger Express Shuttles serve 12 stops around the Historic District, connecting to municipal parking facilities, Visitor Centers, the Streetcar and Savannah Belles Ferry. There is a 20-minute or less wait between the shuttles, which are fully ADA-accessible.

River Street Streetcar

Friday-Sunday: noon-9 p.m.

Savannah’s authentic 1930s Melbourne, 54-passenger streetcar gives guests the chance to ride the rails along River Street and discover the beauty and history that this portion of Downtown Savannah has to offer. Operating on weekends, this streetcar makes six stops along River Street between Montgomery Street and the Waving Girl Landing.

Savannah Belles Ferry

Monday-Friday: 7 a.m.-midnight

To get a better view of Savannah’s riverfront, guests can hop aboard the Savannah Belles Ferry, a free ferry that connects Downtown Savannah with Hutchinson Island and the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. Named for Savannah’s “Belles,” strong women who shaped the city’s history, these modern passenger-only ferries are reminiscent of vessels seen in the harbor a century ago.
• Savannah International Trade & Convention Center (on Hutchinson Island adjacent to the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort)
• City Hall Landing below City Hall adjacent to Hyatt Regency Hotel
• Waving Girl Landing in Morrell Park adjacent to the Marriott Riverfront Hotel

Savannah-Tybee Beach Shuttle
