Savannah Sunrise Rotary is Proud to Present the 2016 Trick or Trot 5k Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at the Islands YMCA on Whitemarsh Island.
Currently in the 19th year of Trick or Trot, this event is formatted to attract more families. It is a 5k only and we welcome walkers as well as the more energetic runners. However, since the event will be officially timed, it will be a good warm-up for those serious participants who may be participating in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
This year’s event will raise funds for local charities supported by the Sunrise Rotary Club. It also supports Rotary’s Georgia Rotary Scholarship Program which provides scholarships for international students to study at Georgia colleges and universities so they can take back positive experiences to their home countries to advance better communication between our respective cultures . . . as a means of promoting world peace and understanding.
The Islands YMCA is our host and we are excited to have the opportunity to again use their excellent trail. (For a course map, click here.) DIRECTIONS from Savannah to the Y: Take Victory Drive (U.S. HWY 80 East) toward Tybee Island. After crossing the causeway, turn right on Johnny Mercer Boulevard. Go .9 mi. to Whitemarsh Island Road. Turn left. Free parking is in the lot of Islands High School. Follow the signs to registration. For more information, or to register, go to fleetfeetsavannah.com.
