Tybee Post Theater hosts a monthly series starring four singer-songwriters in the round swapping songs and telling the stories behind them. On July 3, 2016 at 7 p.m., Sean McNally, A.M. Rodriguez, Gary Swindell and Savannah’s favorite daughter, Kris Youmans will take the stage.
Sean McNally has been playing music since the age of 10. Now he’s on Tybee, has picked up the mandolin and after a year of playing solo gigs and hosting two open mic nights on Tybee, he decided to form a punk celtic band that has become In For A Penny
A.M. Rodriguez is a Savannah based singer-songwriter whose work mines American folk, country and blues music traditions, particularly from Texas and the Deep South.
Gary Swindell is a very eclectic artist. Vocalist, guitarist, pianist and songwriter, he brings waves of rich spiritual insightful lyrics and music. With extensive background in jazz, gospel, folk, and theatrical music he brings unique perspective and experience to his music through highly expressive phrasing and musical textures.
Kris Youmans’ songwriting style is strongly roots influenced, and traditional and Southern as her hometown of Savannah. Her ‘Slim Take Me Dancing’ CD was nominated for Country album of the year through IMEA in 2015.
