Savannah Santa Train Coastal Heritage SocietyAll aboard! The Savannah Santa Train returns to the the Georgia State Railroad Museum with a fun and educational holiday experience for families from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2016. Families can enjoy crafts, face painting, hands-on learning activities, wintry treats from local vendors and, of course, SANTA CLAUS!

Families can design holiday cards for local child-patients with Savannah Children’s Museum’s “Carts with HeART” program, meet characters from Savannah Stage Company, create festive T-shirts with Maven Makers and interact with arctic animals with Oatland Island.

Other activities include learning how to shoulder a musket during Toy Soldiers Training, engaging in STEAM learning to see how a chimney works during Chimney Science, celebrating different cultures during our “Holidays Around the World” station, taking a holiday-themed ride on a steam locomotive and visiting with jolly old St. Nicholas to share a Christmas wish.

Tickets are now on sale for the annual event that brings the holiday spirit to Lowcountry residents every December. Tickets are $15 per person and pre-registration is required at http://chsgeorgia.org/santa-train. Train rides are available every 20 minutes, so please select a time to reserve your spot. Activities only tickets are also available for guests not wanting a train ride.
