On February 13, there will be an array of family-oriented activities from 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m., when the day will end with a star-studded concert. The day kicks off with Walk Georgia, a health walk from the Civic Center to Forsyth Park and back. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. there will be an Adult Health Fair with screenings, healthy food presentations, exercise demonstrations and more in the first floor lobby of the Civic Center.
1–2 p.m. – 5th Annual Youth Health Exercise Program “Help Your Body Get Its Move On” in the ballroom on the third Floor
1–2:45 p.m. – Savannah Stars with Magic Marc (2 sessions): Entertainment by Savannah Y.E.S. Stars, Magic Show and Story-telling. 1ST Session [1-1:45 p.m.]; 2nd Session [2 – 2:45 p.m.] 2nd Floor
1–3:45 p.m. – Bright Star Children’s Touring Theatre (3 sessions): first show from 1-1:45 p.m, second show from 2–2:45 p.m. and the third from 3–3:45 p.m. in the Mason Room.
1–3:45 p.m. – Crafts Village (2 Sessions) : first session from 1–2:15 p.m., second session from 2:30–3:45 p.m. on the second floor lobby. Includes, but not limited to: doll-making, mask-making, jewelry-making, painting, culinary arts, basket-making and wallet crafts.
1–2:30 p.m. – Dads Learn Hair Care with Their Daughters and Sons on the second floor. Dads and children ages 6 and up are encouraged to attend.
1–2:30 p.m.– Local Authors Corner. Self-published local authors discuss challenges/successes with writing, publishing and marketing book sales on the second Floor.
3:30 p.m. – Grand Festival Day Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony launches local performances with host, Magic Marc. in the M. L. King, Jr. Arena.
4 p.m. – Annual Youth Talent Extravaganza
6–9 p.m. – Live concert begins featuring Winners of the Y.E.S. Talent Showcase, Con Funk Shun and Tony! Toni! Tone!
