The past and present meet in the Second Annual Savannah Antiques and Architecture Weekend March 2-3, 2018. Enjoy seven events in two days of antiques, architecture and interior design to benefit the Historic Green-Meldrim and Andrew Low Museum houses. All events take place within walking distance, centered around historic Madison Square.
On Friday, enjoy spectacular views of the Historic District from the Chatham Club at the kickoff luncheon with Sonny Seals, author of the award-winning Historic Rural Churches of Georgia. Friday evening, attend a glittering reception and exciting live auction at The Green-Meldrim House, honoring celebrity appraisers and sponsors.
Saturday, start your morning at 10 a.m. with Brandon Branch, New York Times bestselling author, designer and expert in Southern style. Then lunch and learn at noon with the superstar team of architect Christian Sottile and interior designer Chuck Chewning, as they give an exclusive preview of their new project—the renewal of the magnificent Armstrong House. Continue Saturday’s events with a design workshop on the sophisticated mixing of then with now, led by Courtland Smith Stevens at 2 p.m. All day Saturday, from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., bring your own treasures in for evaluation by well-known TV star appraisers, Lark Mason and Amanda Everard, joined by silver and jewelry specialist Jane Mullino. Travel in style on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with Old Town Trolley’s John Norris architectural tour, running between VIP guided tours of The Andrew Low and Green-Meldrim Houses, and St. John’s Gothic Revival sanctuary. All four tours included in one spacial rate ticket.
