Come out for a day of hope and healing at Lake Mayer Park on Sept. 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. as we remember our loved ones at the Out of Darkness Community Walk. We will be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Organizations from around the city and other resources will be available for support, as well as fun. This walk is organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and is free for all participants. Proceeds will fund research to improve interventions, train clinicians in suicide prevention and advocate for policy the will save lives. It also funds Talk Saves Lives workshops and More Than Sad programs in schools. For more information about the Out of the Darkness Community Walk, see the Facebook event page and to register, go to afsp.org/Savannah.
