December 9: The Jewish Educational Alliance’s first annual Oy Vey 5K Run/Walk is Sunday,at 3 p.m, on the last night of Chanukah.
The Oy Vey 5K is open to individuals of all ages and abilities.
Walk, trot, stroll, saunter, stroll, plod, hike, trek, march, stride or sashay…..run, sprint, dash, scamper, gallop or zoom…or any combination of the above.
Whether you are two years old and being pushed in a stroller or ninety-two years young, everyone is welcome and empowered to complete the 3.1 miles!
The course starts in the JEA parking lot, meanders through local, quiet neighborhoods, circles Hull Park and ends back at the JEA for the Post Dash Chanukah Glow Bash!
Entry to the Post Dash Glow Bash is included in the registration for all those who participate in the 5K. All others are heartily welcome to come and celebrate the last day of Chanukah. ($5 per person or $15 per family.)
There will be food, drink and games for the whole family. What better way to congratulate yourself for finishing a 5K than with a beer and fried latkes?
Packet Pickup is Friday, Dec. 7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at the JEA, Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Fleet Feet Savannah and Sunday, Dec. 9 at the JEA.
Please note, at this late date, requested shirt size cannot be guaranteed.
