June 1-30: The Art Show at the JEA, will feature the works of Dawn Tanis! Dawn lives in Savannah, where she owns Sunrise Healing Arts, a holistic bodywork practice. Her love of drawing and creating art goes back to childhood. This current manifestation of her work in the paper medium has been evolving over the past decade. Dawn has been influenced by years of exploring the intangible world of spirituality, as well as being grounded in the physical world as an athlete, yogi, and bodywork practitioner. The two have become organically connected, and this exploration has led down a pathway to the inner landscape of the body that directly impacts how the outer world is perceived. This collection of pieces represents connection to some of the outer (spiritual/conceptual) and inner (physical/biological) worlds that make up the human experience. There will be a reception on June 3rd from 2-4 p.m. 5111 Abercorn St. (912) 355-8111 or www.savj.org.
