The 3rd Annual Live Art Show and Silent Auction, “GIMEE SUM SUGAR” Trading in Love Special Edition will be held for the very first time in Savannah, GA on Saturday, October 3 at Savannah Coffee Roasters from 5-9 p.m.
This event aims to bring together local artists, vendors and businesses to raise money for the 501c3 nonprofit organization called the Batey Rehab Project (BRP).
This organization helps the most impoverished communities in the southern part of the Dominican Republic, known as the Bateyes. We aid our families through building safe housing, providing educational workshops, and supporting the communities through sustainable design. We believe that aid begins with the understanding of the community, and most importantly, working with the entire family to fulfill their needs. Our organization is founded and run by SCAD Alumni and current SCAD students majoring in over 15 different design subjects.
More information about this organization can be found on our website www.thebateyrehabproject.org.
