Telfair is pleased to present a lecture on April 21 by Chris Murray, founder and director of Govinda Gallery in Washington, DC, at 6 p.m., with a Sock Hop Celebration following from 7-9 p.m.

Murray worked closely with the late photographer Alfred Wertheimer, and is the organizer of the exhibition. He was close friends with Andy Warhol for more than 15 years and has organized more than 200 major exhibitions of paintings, drawings, and photographs. Murray wrote the introduction to the book Elvis 1956 and has lectured at venues around the country, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Admission is $12 for non-members and free for members.
