In its first year, only members were treated to the Cottage Garden decorated in lights. This year, nightly from Nov. 25-Dec. 23, 2016, December Nights & Holiday Lights will encompass 10 acres around the historic core of farm buildings and gardens with well over 500,000 lights. But the lights aren’t the only activity here from 6-9 p.m.; music, sweet treats and a model railroad display add to the festive 2016 holiday experience.
Embark on a self-guided leisurely walking tour through different themed garden areas. View white reindeer among green bamboo, a Nativity scene with a deep blue background, trumpeting angels in a bed of champagne gold lights, bright wisteria arches, glowing green willow trees in the Mediterranean Garden and a candy-inspired children’s experience. The Holiday Lights experience is stroller and wheelchair friendly, but not pet friendly.
Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen offers a chance to purchase hot drinks and holiday goodies. Spirited music will fill the air, sometimes with live carolers, choirs or orchestra concerts. $5 per person, children under the age of two are free.
November 30-December 4
