Head over to the Tybee Post Theatre on March 31, 2017 for “Those Were the Days” at 7 p.m. This upbeat, musical journey of America’s greatest songs of the ‘60s, stars iconic folk music songwriter and performer, William Florian, a former lead singer of the famous New Christy Minstrels. It’s a memorable night of the music of Peter Paul & Mary, John Denver, Pete Seeger, The Mamas & The Papas, and uplifting originals presented with amusing stories in an intimate show.
Who can forget the Minstrel’s greatest Top 40 folk music hits, including “This Land Is Your Land,” “Green, Green,” “Today” and “Ramblin’?” Throw in “If I had a Hammer,” “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Where Have all the Flowers Gone” and you have a wondrous walk down memory lane with one of the most personable performers on the national touring scene today.
Bring the kids, and grandkids if you got ’em, and sing along on the greatest hits of the ’60s and ’70s. Tickets are $20 for adults (premium seats are $25) and $10 for children 12 and under.
