Date Night Noir is the new monthly movie event at the Tybee Post Theatre! Date Night will feature some of the hottest classic films that got couples cuddling through the generations. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll sigh! You’ll remember that special night you first saw that film together on the big screen.
On Feb. 9, 2017, the 7 p.m. feature is Robert Altman’s memorable “McCabe & Mrs. Miller,” the iconic director’s re-imagining of the American western. The story’s a classic: A gambler and a prostitute become business partners in a remote Old West mining town, and their enterprise thrives until a large corporation arrives on the scene. It’s most memorable, though, for its stars — Warren Beatty, who made all the girls swoon, and Julie Christie, who set every young man’s heart afire. Admit it! Where were you when this masterpiece debuted in 1971? And with whom?
Don’t have a date? Don’t need one! See you at the movies! Your $10 ticket gets you the movie, a complimentary glass of wine and a “kiss.”
Tickets are $10. For more information about Date Night Noir: “McCabe & Mrs. Miller” at the Tybee Post Theatre, or to purchase tickets, go to tybeeposttheater.showare.com or call the theatre Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at (912) 472-4790.
