When the Crystal Beer Parlor originally opened in 1933, hamburgers cost 30 cents and draft beer was just 10 cents a glass.
“Times sure have changed,” says owner John Nichols, “but our commitment to good, quality food at a fair price and efficient, friendly service are right in keeping with the Crystal’s longstanding tradition of excellence.”
Today, the Crystal Beer Parlor features a wide selection of some of Savannah’s best lunch and dinner options, craft and artisan beers, 26 beers on tap and classic cocktails. The restaurant still serves beloved recipes like a creamy Crab Stew, Fried Oyster Sandwiches, juicy hamburgers, homemade cornbread and handmade onion rings, but many new favorites have been added to the menu as well.
Don’t miss the Shrimp and Grits, Giant Pretzel with Smoked Gouda Cheese Sauce, Greek Wings served with homemade Tzatziki sauce, Gawgia Cracka Nachos, the Brown Ale Burger, the Bison Burger, the Shrimp Salad Sandwich, the monumental Classic Club Sandwich and the best Peach Cobbler in Georgia. Plus, the Crystal Beer Parlor also offers a number of popular vegetarian items, all cooked fresh to order, as well as daily specials.

Plus, patrons can select from local brews, as well as a “Beers of Our Fathers” list, which includes classic favorites like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee and Genesee Cream Ale.
