The Art Show at the JEA Art Gallery will feature the works of Burton “Buddy” Metzger. Although Buddy has been the family photographer for decades, his early creative work began with black and white and he had his own darkroom. The Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless, Inc., a local nonprofit, announces its new brand of bottled water, HydraHope for the Homeless was created to raises funds and awareness to help end homelessness in Chatham County. It launches today, which is World Homeless Day. Through the sale of each bottle, 100% of all profits are donated to the cause. HydraHope is sold in 591ml (20fl oz) 24-bottle cases. Happy Birthday, Fort Pulaski National Monument! Fort Pulaski National Monument will celebrate its stablishment as a unit of the National Park Service 87 years ago. President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Fort Pulaski a National Monument by executive order on October 15, 1924. The monument was also listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. To celebrate the 87th birthday of Fort Pulaski National Monument, the park will provide complimentary cake to visitors at the park’s Visitor Center between 11:30 AM and 1PM.
